FREMANTLE’S West End will be bursting this Sunday, October 17, as thousands of Catholic faithful and their friends flock to Notre Dame University for the Mary MacKillop Festival at 1pm. At 3:30pm the university lecture halls will show a direct telecast of the canonisation of Australia’s first saint by Pope Benedict XVI, live from St Peter’s, Rome.

MEN pretending to be police attempted to entice young women into their car in Fremantle’s West Eng on three separate occasions over two days earlier this month. Notre Dame University has issued an urgent warning to students and stuff and campus security is on alert.
