A MAN evicted from the Fremantle Markets is organising a protest rally for 4pm next Saturday, January 31, to draw attention to what he says are continuing problems at the council-owned site. Ed Seah’s parents ran the Treasure Chest souvenirs stall for 28 years and recently retired.

A public rally has been organised for Sunday 31st of Jan 2010 for Fremantle Market supporters to come along and hear what’s really going on in the market and what Fremantle Council is doing about it. It starts at 4pm in the Henderson Street mall (Near the Fremantle Markets)

THE new summertime fruit and vegie market at Fremantle Oval was such a hit last weekend thatran out of produce. The five stallholders at the Oval Markets are all ex-Fremantle Markets, forced out by skyrocketing rents and onerous lease.
