A MAN evicted from the Fremantle Markets is organising a protest rally for 4pm next Saturday, January 31, to draw attention to what he says are continuing problems at the council-owned site. Ed Seah’s parents ran the Treasure Chest souvenirs stall for 28 years and recently retired.

THE new summertime fruit and vegie market at Fremantle Oval was such a hit last weekend thatran out of produce. The five stallholders at the Oval Markets are all ex-Fremantle Markets, forced out by skyrocketing rents and onerous lease.
