The plans to strip WA councils of having a voice in large-scale developments took a giant leap forward last week with the Liberals, Nationals and Labor parties teaming up to bulldoze the developer-lobby friendly bill through parliament.

Port Beach ‘safe’ from sludge

FLOATS marking the route of a submerged pipeline about 500m off Port Beach do not mark where tonnes of harbour dredge are to be dumped. Local beach users had feared the floats outlined where the sludge was to be pumped, off Rous Head.
