EAST FREMANTLE CEO Stuart Wearne is scathing of a government report that could see the small council forced to amalgamate with big neighbour Fremantle. The Local Government Steering Committee report said councils had generally failed to support the Barnett government’s amalgamation agenda voluntarily so forced amalgamations should be considered.
